Very tasty, simple recipe. I soaked the apple slices as I cut them to prevent browning.

It turned out pretty good. I accidently sliced too many apples so I turned the rest into apple crisp. I also had to guess the baking time a little because I use a small convection oven (an air fryer/toaster oven). I reduced the temp 25 degrees, cooked it on the bottom rack for 10 minutes before putting the foil on, then another 20. The apple crisp I made in ramekins, 10 minutes with the lid off, 7 or 8 with the lid on. Both came out perfect

Great pie. I do use a variety of different apples. I also let the apples sit in sugar mixture and cinnamon for 1/2 hour prior so all the liquid run out. Then I boil the liquid on the stove to make a syrup to use afterwards on the ice cream.

It turned out really well I just wish the apples weren’t so much like apple sauce. Next time I’ll probably cook It for less time. But for my first time it turned out amazing!
