- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. canela
- 325 sugar (F. Mix together the, and cinnamon. Set aside.)
- 2 loaves shortening
- 1/2 cinnamon sugar
- 3 eggs (at room temperature)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (at room temperature)
- 1/2 cup milk (full, 2%, or skim will all work okay, at room temperature)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. canela
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 2 cups flour (all-purpose, I prefer to use unbleached)
- 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted and)
- 15 oz. peaches in light syrup (sliced, thoroughly drained and diced)
