- Prepare the crumble: Mix pistachios with handful of almonds, 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons coconut oil. Set aside.

The crumble is what makes it! The pear flavor was subtle so maybe do your research on pear varieties or increase the amount/add another fruit for strong flavor? Also, originally tried 100% almond flour, & they did not hold up as muffins but the batter tasted fantastic. I next subbed half almond flour, & they held shape better. I’m sure 100% all purpose flour is ideal for baking but almond flour tastes really good in this.

These are excellent. The directions were a little unclear about the sugar- I used white sugar in the batter and the crumble, and added about 1-2 teaspoons of molasses to the crumble. I prefer the pear almost minced. Anyway, they're delicious and just the right amount of sweet.
