- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
- 29 oz. pear halves (cans, in light syrup drained and cut into chunks)
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (make your own buttermilk by adding 1 Tablespoon lemon use to 1 cup milk, let sit to curdle)
- 3 Tbsp. butter (melted)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar (for sprinkling, if desired)

Tasty! Used fresh pears that were not so perfect and no one wanted to eat them. Great way to use the fruit. Once it became cobbler everyone wanted to eat the pears! Would definitely make again. Would be great with any fruit, very easy to make.

it turned out really good especially the crunchy top bit. it is now my go-to recipe for cobbler. i will just use any fruit i have.

This this my go to recipe for a cobblers I just add different fruit and it’s ALWAYS a winner!!!
