Ingredients

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (chilled and cut into 1 inch pieces)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (use 1/4 c in filling, and 1/4 cup in the topping)
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp. canela (use 1/2 tsp in filling and 1 tsp in the topping)
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 cup raw almonds (chopped)
- 2/3 cup old fashioned oats (not instant)
- 3 pears (just under ripe, skins removed and cut into 1 inch pieces.)
- 2 Granny Smith apples (skins removed and cut into 1 inch pieces)
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice (I used from a bottle)
