The recipe came out so so. Perhaps it was the flaw in the directions that forgot to tell where to add the applesauce. I followed the recipe as written, but didn't realize I had applesauce left over until after the bread was in the oven. Maybe adding that into the directions will help others.

fantastic! i added about a 1/4tsp cardamom and used chopped almonds, then grilled the loafs to keep the house from heating up. delish!
