My whole entire family loved it. My Mom said this is a lot better than the flan you always make. I cut the sugar in half. The sweetness was just perfect, my husband and my nephew added vanilla ice cream on top. I’ll add more peaches next time. I used fresh picked peaches from our tree. 👍😉😆 thanks for the recipe. My Mommom, who was an immigrant from Germany made this for me when I was little. She never gave me the recipe. This is very close. It’s delicious.

Will make it again, for sure! I used canned pears, and it worked well. The custard may seem too sweet for somebody, just reduce the sugar in it (but not in a batter). Also, i used twice less fruits than the receipt says... just because I literally had no space to put them on... 1 can fits perfectly

Delicious!! My husband and son loved it too.I used whipping cream instead of heavy cream because that is all I had and it still worked well. Mine took 50 minutes in the oven after the initial 15 minutes. The edges stuck a bit but a plastic knife helped remove it.

I made this for an Oktoberfest get-together we had with friends, and it was a huge hit. The custard was rich and creamy, and delicious. The whole dessert was a huge success. I’ll be adding it to the regular rotation of homemade desserts.

fairly easy recipe to follow. not too sweet, like typical german desserts. i added in 2 tbs of the canned peach syrup to the cake batter.
