- 1/2 cup cooking liquid (pasta, or 1/2 cup half and half)
- 8 slices bacon
- 4 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 Tbsp. scallions (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. parsley leaves
- salt
- Parmesan cheese
- freshly ground black pepper (to taste. Traditionally pepper is a big part of this dish so be liberal if you like pepper.)

Made this tonight with broccolini as a veggie side. This recipe was delicious and I gave myself an A+ for the evening. I used provel cheese instead of Parmesan cheese. Provel cheese is a local cheese here in St. Louis. Great for pizza, but didn't have much Parmesan cheese, so I substituted. Had a tough time though making sure that the cheese, egg mixture didn't over cook. Plus I used tofu noodles (shiritake noodles) instead of regular pasta. Will make it again.

Very rich and creamy. Says to put in wine in the ingredients section but its not in the directions. I added shrimp to it as well.
