- 6 garlic cloves (4 left whole, 2 finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup flat leaf parsley leaves
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup olive oil (divided)
- salt (Coarse or kosh)
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 3 1/2 cups beans (cooked, drained, save cooking liquid for water in recipe, if desired or 2 15-ounce cans small white beans, such as Great Northern or Cannelini, rinsed)
- 1 lb. pasta (short tube, see suggestions above)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh rosemary (minced)

Usually love hee recipes but this was pretty bland even with a lot of additional seasoning. The texture is fine but I think it needs acid, salt and more chili flakes to cut through all the beans.

I will add more salt next time I make it. I think 1 tsp for a half batch would be good. I made italian okra meatballs for on top. it was really yummy!

This was delicious. I didn’t have rosemary, but it was still so tasty. I used vegetable broth instead of water for flavor. Will add this to the regular rotation for sure.

This was pretty good. Whole family enjoyed it. I made it with cooking stock instead of water. I’ll probably add ground chicken sausage next time.

Freaking awesome! The salt flakes really enhance the flavors and the rosemary oil really adds a nice layer. creamy. delicious. We only stopped for fear of wasting it by being too full to enjoy it!

Delicious. We loved it. Tasty and healthy! At home we cook without extra salt, we are very used and we found it didn't need it. We shortened the times of the recipe and it worked well. We have also cooked it changing the beans for garbanzo bean.

Needed a ton of salt. Will probably make again but with much more spices, salt, and maybe some sort of stock.
Second note: used a ton of fresh basil, rosemary, and thyme from the garden. Used vegetable broth instead of water. Added garlic powder to make up for not having enough minced garlic. Basically didn't do the second half of the instructions becase we were short on time and it ended up making an excellent pasta fagiole :)
