Description

Parkerhouse rolls are a Thanksgiving classic, with their delicate texture and rich buttery flavor they always deserve a spot on the table. A good trick is to make an extra batch of rolls and set them aside during the meal, that way you are sure to have extra leftover to make turkey sandwiches the day after the big meal. In this version, the rolls are topped with sesame seeds for a nice savory flavor and a bit of crunch.

Ingredients

  • 5 grams dry yeast (for bread)
  • 50 grams water
  • 70 grams sugar
  • 60 grams butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200 grams buttermilk (milk with a few drops of lemon)
  • 1 egg
  • 600 grams flour
  • milk (for brushing)

    Directions

Bake for 12-15 min. until they win a golden brown tint.
