- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. bread
- 1 shallot (small, minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar (or white, apple cider vinegar also works in a pinch)
- black pepper
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves (roughly chopped or torn)
