This was a good recipe! I loved the outcome of my soup and will definitely be making it more often. I added mozzarella cheese to mine at the end and it gave it more flavor!

Very good flavor. Added celery, red pepper flakes, and garlic. Will trade out half and half for skim milk (or a blend of both) next time, as it is quite heavy. I ended up adding an extra cup of broth to thin it out, and only used 1.5 cups cheese.

First time we made this recipe, we made a double portion of it. (recipe x 2 for more people) and it came out great. We added a tablespoon of kosher salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper to the full double portion. i agree with others thst this is better with less salt. I agree that the sharp cheddar makes a big differnce in taste. The suprise was how the nutmeg really made it a perfect copy of Panera's.

Tasty satisfying soup. I made it a couple of days in advance and put the pot in the fridge. Reheated slowly and blended in the pot to smooth it out and added the cheese just before serving. Served with a small spring onion and prosciutto damper.

I made this tonight and shared with friends everyone agreed to add it to the ‘make again’ list. Chose to use chicken stock for more flavor and I added a significant amount of salt and pepper but left the nutmeg out and let people add it themselves.

don't add the nutmeg! it was fabulous! i did add red pepper flakes for a kick & i used frozen broccoli florets (in the steamer bags & followed the directions & added them in)

This did not turn out good! Even after adding some seasoning to it, it still was very bland and did not have a lot of flavor. Definitely did not taste anything like Panera Bread!

First time making it and it was very thick and did not have much flavor. Not sure why but will definitely try to make it again.

Perfect, easy and adaptable. I added leftover ham from Thanksgiving, and it was even better. Going into the YES, AGAIN! pile for sure!

Turned out perfect. Super easy and taste sooooo good. Even bought a big uncut loaf of bread at the store to make bread bowls with this soup.

I loved this soup. I’ve never had Panera Breads soup, so I don’t know how it would compare. I made it with rice flour, non-dairy butter, and oat milk. I put mozzarella cheese in mine instead of cheddar, and I loved it!
left nutmeg out and it was very good.

My family and I did not like this at all. Do not add the nutmeg, it tastes awful.

Had a great crop of broccoli this year, so decided to try this recipe. I followed it as written including placing a cup in the blender at the end. Very tasty.

Perfect! My family loves this soup and it tastes just like Panera - I put an extra cup of cheese and doubled the recipe. So good!😊
