  • 1/2 cup coconut cream (refrigerate can of coconut milk overnight and use the cream on top of the can or use ½ cup of this coconut cream)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 inch ginger (knob, minced)
  • 5 garlic cloves (minced)

    (Full disclosure* I had never eaten butter chicken before.) That being said, this recipe was a winner. I found it to be very saucy, so I ended up adding a bunch of broccoli, a diced up potato, and only using 1/4 of the coconut milk. time I am going to try the full amount of coconut milk and double the chicken and veggies. Next time I'm going to try the full amount of coconut milk and doubling the veggies and chicken.
