- 1 onion (large, peeled and roughly chopped)
- 1 red pepper (deseeded and roughly chopped into chunks)
- 4 oz. chorizo sausage (Spanish, in a piece, skin removed and cut into ½ inch, 1 cm dice)
- 2 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed)
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 cayenne pepper (level teaspoon)
- 1/2 saffron (level teaspoon, strands, ½ x 0.4 g sachet)
- 8 oz. tomatoes (ripe red, skinned and roughly diced)
- 12 raw tiger prawns (shell on, defrosted if frozen, 4 with heads, 8 without)
- 2 oz. peas (fresh or frozen shelled)
- 1 lemon (cut into wedges, to garnish, optional)
