- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup dry sherry (or White Wine)
- 1 can condensed chicken broth
- 3 lb. boneless skinless chicken (cut into chunks)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 8 red chiles (small dried, stems and seeds removed)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 qt. vegetable oil (for deep-frying, plus 1 tablespoon for stir-frying)
- 2 cups scallions (sliced, green onions)
- fried rice (or Steamed Rice, for serving)

I was not a fan of this recipe. The sauce was very thick and sweet for me after adding about a cup of water after it thickened. I’m going to keep searching for a recipe for General Tso’s chicken because it’s a house favorite.
