Very good!!! Eaten quickly by 4 of us.
Serves 4 if that is the entire meal - also
added orange slices.
Of course I had modifications=
-used entire pound of lean pork sausage.
At least 2- maybe 3- cups of fresh spinach. Roughly chopped or torn.
2 cloves of garlic
Used 3.5 Virginia rolls left from holiday meals- 1 week old. Torn into 1" pieces.
1/2 cup mostly fine shredded sharp white cheddar.
Used 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
All mixed in larger bowl.
Separate bowl- 9 eggs, 1.75 cups evaporate milk, same spices, but added some white pepper and 1/2 tsp turmeric.
Put all into one ~8x10" glass pan.
Covered and in fridge approx 20 hours, cooked for dinner.
Second time I made it was with kale chopped fine and sautéed with onion, then added portobellos chopped for 2 minutes, and used French bread 3 oz shredded moz and 2 oz of sharp white cheddar. Still 1 lb of meat, made in an 11 x 7.5 glass casserole with ~2" lip
