I’ve been searching for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe and came across this one and am so glad I did! I do follow recipe as written but have varied up the “chip” sometimes using butterscotch, white chocolate or semi sweet. This recipe adapts perfectly - cookies are crunchy at the edges and chewy in the middle. YUM YUM!!

I have made these now on multiple occasions following the recipe to a tea and they have worked out great. Just the other night when I made them I actually turned them into ice cream sandwiches with store-bought vanilla bean ice cream I cannot believe how perfect the butterscotch played off of the vanilla beans. great combination don't make any changes to this recipe just baked it exactly as it calls for and you will not be disappointed

Good combination of ingredients but way too sweet. Next time I will cut the sugar down by at least half and increase the salt to 3/4 tsp.

These cookies, while very tasty, are so sweet. So be warned. The mix of chocolate and butterscotch is a good blend.
