I love this recipe, I’ve been making it for a few years but I’ve made adjustments and substitutions overtime.
I recommend cooking the bacon first in the pan(instead of later in the microwave) and then using the bacon grease to sauté the onions. I also use fresh garlic and add a ton of Italian seasoning. Most of the time I only have a large can of diced tomatoes so I leave out the water.
