I really like the one-pot method but the recipe lacked flavor in my opinion, especially tomato flavor. I added more of the Italian seasoning and quite a bit of sea salt as well as a bay leaf (removed before serving) and a few red pepper flakes and finally a 6 oz can of tomato sauce (not paste). My husband liked it very much so next time I make it Ill add a can of diced tomatoes.
