  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 28 ounces chicken broth (about 3 3/4 c.)
  • 2 1/2 cups milk (add more if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound noodles (pasta, uncooked, I like using linguini)
  • kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups broccoli (optional)
  • 2 chicken breasts (grilled and cut into strips, optional. See notes above on how to make chicken part of the "one-pot" meal if you don't want to grill)

    I used kale and broccoli, no chicken, and soy milk. I’ll go heavier on herbs next time, but this was a good weeknight meal, and I have lots left for lunches or dinners. I let it simmer while I did other things, and just stirred once in awhile. I like one pot pastas and will make this one again.

    Delicious! I used penne rather than linguine, home grown broccoli and a dash of cayenne pepper. I also used 2/3 vegetable stock instead of all chicken stock. Will definitely make again.

    Very quick and tasty...per other comments added more garlic, basil and Parmesan. A great addition to weeknight meals.

    One of my favorite easy dishes to make. I use chicken and broccoli. Some say it’s bland if you follow the recipe as is. I suggest seasoning the chicken really well, add extra garlic and salt, and use less noodles. Comes out yummy and creamy every time.

    It seemed to have all the right ingredients but not enough flavor. It asked for 2 1/2 cups of milk but I think 2 cups to start with would have worked better.

    Pasta turned out a little thick I wouldn't simmer down as long and the chicken took forever so I'd do that ahead of time like it says

    This dish turned out great! Substituted shrimp for the chicken and added a few red pepper flakes. Will definitely do this one again.

    Good fast for a weekday dinner, my family liked it, I substited the butter by olive oil, and added turkey instead of chiken
