- 6 breakfast sausages (chopped into ½ inch pieces)
- 2 onions (medium, thinly sliced)
- 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 large tomato (diced)
- 1 handful baby carrots (chopped)
- 1/2 green pepper (sliced)
- 10 white mushrooms (or so, chopped)
- 1 handful fresh basil leaves (whole)
- 1 handful fresh oregano leaves (whole)
- pepper (several cranks of the, grinder)
- 1/4 cup white wine (to deglaze pan - you can do this with water or broth)
- 4 cups chicken broth (to cover all ingredients in pan)
- fresh Parmesan cheese (grated, to garnish, optional)
