We love this
Browned the chicken skin in a fry pan, then Made in pressure cooker. 13 min we use sushi’s rice it gets sticky, just like we like it . Not sure how the recommended rice would come out. It’s delicious every time

Lots of great flavors, and the family loved it. Simmering on the stove instead of baking works well too and cuts the time down quite a bit.

Used boneless and skinless chicken thighs cut into bite size pieces, and doubled everything. Marinated the chicken for about 2 hours. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Chicken was tender and juicy! The rice was super fluffy! Hubby asked for it to be on rotation. So good! My nails were yellow by the end, so mind the curry and turmeric! Lol!

This is definitely a keeper recipe. Easy to prepare. I added mushrooms and red pepper. I didn’t have chicken stock and used beef stock and it turned out great

This is one of my all time favorite recipes! So flavorful and fun! I don’t have a pan I can put in the oven, so I cover with foil (or lid) and cook in the stovetop that way. I love cooking this for guests, and they love it also! Thanks Evs for sharing this recipe! ❤️

Pretty great, nothing too fussy, Simple flavors. Squeezed half a lemon over the top after the bake and went heavy on the fresh parsley garnish which really helped tie it all together.

I used deboned and skinless chicken thighs and it was very dry but so good. This time I am just not sauté them before hand and that should fix that

Seemed like there was a bit too much turmeric in the recipe. Will reduce it the next time.
Also, didn't bake it and just allowed for the rice and chicken to cook atop the stove.

Loved this. Cooked it in a cast iron Dutch oven on the stove top. Cooked the rice separately in my Instant Pot. Used long grain brown rice. Will repeat.

This is really really good it was pretty easy to make I used more onion and garlic added some sweet peepers, I used drumsticks instead of thighs (definitely using thighs next time) the rice was awesome used seasoning salt instead of regular salt. Will make this again.

Excellent, just need to watch the last 15 minutes to make sure it does not get too dry. However, it was a big hit with the family

Despite all the comments that said this was bland I will disagree. Not sure but perhaps the spices used by these folks were old. This is a great dish with lots of flavor. I did everything according to directions except used only 1 tbls turmeric in the marinade. Will defiantly make this again.

Very testy dish but I think the water was a bit much because the rice was very soft, I would have preferred it to be a bit hard. Also, the timing wasn’t calculated correctly, it was more than 55 mins. It looked like I was waiting forever. Overall, it was delicious.

this recipe was GREAT!!! I added half the turmeric that it asked for the chicken because it seemed excessive. I also added bell pepper and mushrooms with the onions and rice. the chicken was moist and twnder with crispy skin!I also just used more chicken broth instead of adding the water. i saw alot of negative reviews but mine was a HIT! I will say ADDING GREEK YOGURT ON TOP MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!! The yogurt helps bring all thise flavors together and enhances them! So delicous!!!!!

Every part of the recipe is spot on...besides flavor. It’s lacking *something.* Something that makes it pop. The flavor just falls flat.
And it could use more heat for sure. Lacks spice.
Maybe add more curry or herbs or something.
Use less tumeric.

Very messy to make. Would definitely use less turmeric, and possibly add sumac and saffron for more flavor if available. I’d also try adding some carrots and cauliflower to incorporate some veggies.

I followed the instructions exactly and the meal turned out beautifully. The rice was light and full of flavor, and the chicken was moist and easily shredded. I marinated the chicken overnight for the most flavor, and we used the recommendation of plain Greek yogurt as a perfect compliment to the spices.

I have made this dish three times. I doubled the recipe and added a bit more liquid, cut down on the tumeric. My family loves this dish especially the children. So much flavour.

This recipe was okay. I thought it was going to have more flavour (the rice turned out flavourful but not the chicken). My son liked it though, which means dinner was overall a success.

This is delicious!! Have made it three times already. Super simple and packed with flavour. I added in some veg just to bulk it up.
