- 4 boneless pork chops (3/4 inch to 1 inch thick)
- salt
- pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 apples (cored and thinly sliced, any apple will do, we used Washington)
- 1 onion (large, halved and thinly sliced)
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. canela
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 2/3 cup apple cider (I used apple juice, and added a dash of cinnamon and allspice)
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
