It was great, but I had to bake it for 45 minutes to get my honey crisp apples soft and the topping browned

Love this recipe! I used cardamom instead of cinnamon. I was a bit concerned since there was nothing added to the apples. This recipe needs no tweaking. Make it with your spice of choice (cayenne pepper) and add a scoop of ice cream or a little whipped cream. Divine!
