Yes, it worked! I could not fathom how soaking the okra in vinegar would cut down on the sticky substance, but it did. Soaked ours in white vinegar. The sauce that the veggies cooked in was heavenly rich (due to the 1/4c. of oil). Whole recipe takes time, but worth it!
