- 1 Tbsp. sea salt (course, or to taste…)
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves (– ground to paste or microplane)
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. aleppo pepper
- 8 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. date syrup (I used local McClendons Brand)
- 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. cilantro leaves (some fine stems ok – chopped)
