    Delicious despite the fact that I used bread flour. Had to use yogurt to offset the fact that the dough was too dry. For me, of the “rising” happened in the pan while it was being cooked so don’t panic if it doesn’t rise as much as you’d like before cooking. I didn’t have any garam masala but I’d never consider skipping the garlic. Fresh garlic made a lot of difference. Cooked mine in a cast iron pot. Tried both butter and olive oil and much preferred the latter. Froze most of the dough so I’ll be enjoying naan for quite some time.

    we did not add the spices and the basic recipe is pretty good. The directions tell you to put the yeast in the water without anything to feed on, do not do this, either add a tablespoon of sugar or flour to the water. If you do this, you will have much better results.

    Absolutely amazing. i recommend putting the garlic/garam masala in the dough with the milk/sugar/egg/etc as its much easier to mix in but other than that this recipe is perfect.

    Made 4 naans; 2 grilled, 2 in a skillet. The grilled ones were perfect whereas over a heat was easy to burn the butter when turned so would recommend grilling. Outstanding dough and tasted beautiful.

    Delicious. i recommend adding the garlic/garam masala before the first rest but other than that the recipe is perfect. I also used buttermilk since we had some leftover from making waffles and it was quite good.

    It came out really close to traditional naan. Four and a half cups of flour would have been too much, 4 seemed to work just right
