- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened 226g or 16 tablespoons)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 lb. ground beef (about half kg)
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 stem green onions (chopped sub with leeks)
- 4 large garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
- 1 bay leaf (large)
- 1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
- 1 habanero pepper (optional)
- 2 potatoes (medium Irish, peeled and diced about 1 cup chopped)
- 3 small carrots (or 1 large carrot diced)
- 8 green beans (diced)
- 2 bell peppers (small, 1 yellow, 1 red sub with half a medium bell pepper)
- 2 stock cubes (small, Maggi about 4g per cube)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. oil (I used olive oil)
- 1 egg (beaten)

I used frozen Tenderflake pie crust and it turned out so good. Otherwise, followed the recipe as is and it’s delicious.

It came out perfectly. I had only 100grms of butter in my pantry so I topped up with margarine.

Excellent. I used milk instead of water, added a slight bit of sugar to crust. I need to roll dough thinner next time and make circles larger. But a good recipe overall.

I have made meat patties before with my mother-in-law who is from Jamaica but I never received the recipe for the crust so thank you for the recipe! Every thing was so delicious!
