- potatoes (your choice, sweet potatoes can also been used for a colourful alternative)
- olive oil
- sea salt
- green onions (for garnish, optional)
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast (more information here)
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp. gluten-free tamari
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (or tapioca starch)
- 2 Tbsp. tahini (or 1/4 cup sesame seeds if you have a high speed blender)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. blackstrap molasses (or maple syrup)
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/4 cup raw cashews (optional - adds more creaminess to the gravy - See note)
- 3 drops liquid smoke (natural, optional)
- black pepper (Fresh grounded, to taste)
- 1 firm tofu (bloc, around 500g)
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 4 tsp. sea salt

Don’t complicate something so simple like the recipe suggests. Buy frozen pre-cut fries and then make a mushroom gravy sans all the random stuff they want you to throw in there.

It was delicious! But I wouldn’t call it low in the calories. For the portion I took; even though it was small, was about 1500 calories. Yikes!
