I used 98% Lean ground turkey and didn't have uncooked rice so I used 1/2 cup of pre-cooked rice out of one of those Uncle Ben's packets. Worked great, So easy and so tasty. They froze really well too so they worked as quick meals when I needed one.

I used ketchup instead of tomato sauce and then I topped them with Russian dressing, they came out great!

I used ground turkey, brown rice, less sugar, and (accidentally) too much tomato sauce. Still delicious. Unfortunately, my rice didn't cook through. Not sure what went wrong there, but just in case, I will par-cook it next time. Oh! I added a little thyme and pepper. I think it was a good choice.
