- 1/2 cup Diamond of California Pecans (coarsely chopped, a very rough chop!)

- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)

I added some chocolate chips and made an all butter crust, otherwise followed all the other instructions. Got the most compliments ever for a pecan pie! Next time, I am going to try maple syrup instead of corn syrup..... just cuz I can.
