This recipe is really good but it is overly complex. It works great with half and half but needs 5/8 cup (1/2 cup and 2 tbsp). Chopped fridge cold butter works fine. Rather than rolling the dough, just scoop out round scones with a spatula. For something less sweet use 1/3 cup of sugar and dispense with the glaze and sugar toping.

These scones are amazing!! I didn't have heavy cream when I made them, I substituted it with Italian Sweet Creamer, they turned out so good that they didn't need the glaze!
