Next time I would add garlic and black pepper and reduce the sugar and vinegar It is way too sweet and the vinegar is almost overpowering and the tomato flavour is almost lost along with the chillis.

Great recipe the while family loved it. Makes an amazing burger sauce. Recipe yield was approximately 2ltr

Loved this recipe! I did add some garlic but otherwise stuck to the recipe pretty much. I had no fresh chillies but have some I'd picked from my garden and dried so used them after I'd finely chopped them. I currently have an end of crop glut of tomatoes and am making another batch because my partner has already demolished half a bottle with cheese 😄
