- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 3 yellow onions (Small, peeled and chopped)
- 7 cloves garlic (peeled and finely chopped)

- freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 bunch celery (ribs separated and chopped)
- 1/2 lb. shiitake mushrooms (stemmed, caps diced)
- 1 lb. challah bread (cut into 1/2-inch cubes and set out to let dry for 2-3 days)
- 1/2 cup peeled roasted chestnuts (jarred, diced)
- 1 cup water chestnuts (canned, drained and diced)
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds (toasted)
- 4 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- 1/2 bunch parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp. chopped leaves (one fresh herb or a mixture, thyme, oregano, savory, tarragon and basil)
- 1 cup chicken stock (warmed)
