I'm giving this recipe 4 stars because I made more modifications since the recipe was a bit bland for me. I added cumin and smoked paprika. I also added more cinnamon and oregano. I used chicken thighs instead of breast and browned the chicken before combining with the broth. I'll definitely make this recipe again but I'll double the sauce.

It really was quite bland as written. I cut up the chicken into bite sized pieces and browned it first. Then I removed it from the pan and carmelized the onions before adding the garlic and chicken stock. This also made the cooking time shorter. Next time I think I will use more veggies which this really lacked. Zucchini and yellow sqaush could be added to improve this or butternut squash and kale. I think next time I will also add cumin and red pepper flakes maybe even a green pepper. If using yogurt I would suggest adding some spices to that as well or some finely diced cucumber and garlic.

I didn’t follow the recipe totally, changed couscous for brown rice as didn’t have any on hand, and added a bit more spice and chilli powder, as well as a few coriander seeds and a touch of cumin. Really lovely though, a delicious recipe
