    First, it's so easy! But what's ease if it doesn't taste good? But this recipe has become a staple in our family. It's a wonderful, no meat, dish that is comforting and healthy. I also use the basis of this recipe for other dishes - it has broadened my family's palate.

    I was pleasantly surprised by the level of flavor this dish provided (but I admit I added 2 Tbsp harissa instead of 2 tsp). Easy and delicious, I served it with a dollop of sour cream and piece of toast.

    I substituted the harissa for chili sauce and it turned out great! Also added some extra lentils because I like a thicker soup!

    This soup is simple and delicious. It’s very satisfying for lunch or dinner. I used a lower sodium vegetable broth and added 2 cups of water because I like more broth. Great healthy vegetarian option!

    First time I made it and the family loved it! It took a little longer than 40 minutes for the lentils to soften so I added an extra cup of vegetable broth and it turned out lovely :)
