  • cheddar (Shredded, or Monterey Jack cheese)

  • black olives (sliced)
  • cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast (or rapid rise)

  • 1 cup milk (warm, 110 degrees)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or shortening, melted)

    Everyone loved them. We ate them with forks. I made a double batch of the bread and actually cooked them on my stove top griddle (with extra oil).
