I like pies! I am a great cook, not a baker (i.e. cakes) but pretty good pie maker. Four years ago I came here to find a simple, but tasty sweet potato pie...and I found it!
Thanks to Lauren (and her Mom) ...every Thanksgiving I've had more pie request than I can handle. Recently brought 3 pies to a repast reception and people were asking why I didn't bring more! This is THE best sweet potato pie ever! Preparing now to make a couple for my neighbor!

It was absolutely wonderful! I viewed other recipes but non were the ingredients I remembered from childhood. I stopped searching and immediately “Yummed” it for myself. Thank you Lauren for sharing family traditions!!!!

Thank you for the recipe, my whole family loved it. It was easy to make and it taste amazing. I substituted half a cup of brown sugar instead of using all white and it tasted so good to me: I even made my own pie crust from a recipe I found on here too. Thank you again, love your moms sweet potatoes recipe.
