I cooked it for 15min in my instant pot and then for another 4-5hr in the slow cooker. added the butter when i poped it into the slow cooker. and absolutely love this recipe. It's fantastic

I used unsalted butter and it came out very salty, too salty to eat. I question which brand of au jus (dry seasoning) is intended from the original recipe, I suspect this was my problem. Would be helpful to others to update the ingredient list with more specifics

This is very salty. I didn't have unsalted butter, so next time I would skip the kosher salt rub on the roast. Otherwise it was delicious. I will make it again!

Best roast I’ve ever made. Off the hook good!!! I don’t add any salt at all (plenty of that in the ranch powder) and use unsalted butter. I make this and make tacos out of it with cabbage and mexican white sauce.
