these were amazing. so tender and flavorful. i sliced an onion amd cooked it with the meat. just put avacado amd lime juice on it. They were amazing. even the nephews loved it

It...was...AWESOME! Kids loved it. Thumbs up all day. If possible, buy the package of pork that's already labeled "carnitas"- it's already cut into chunks for you. Let it come to room temperature if you have the extra time. Season as directed-however I seared mine before putting into the slow cooker. I think that made such a huge difference in the flavor. Also, it only took about 3 1/2 hrs. ***Now I’m using the InstantPot pressure cooker and it takes less than an hour!

Meat is tender and flavorful. I will definitely be making this again love the simplicity. My kids enjoyed it as well.
