We used regular tortilla chips because we thought Doritos would be too much, and I think we were right. Other than that, this is basically just nachos with a refried bean-esque concoction. I thought it was too heavy, but my partner enjoyed it. Chips became a bit soggy. This recipe is fine if you want to make nachos that are a bit different, but I wouldn’t highly recommend it.
