- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
- 5 curry leaves
- 8 shallots (peeled and cut lengthways into quarters)
- 200 grams vine tomatoes (ie, 2 medium ones, chopped)
- 1 green chilli (very finely chopped)
- 1 1/2 tsp. tamarind paste
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. rapeseed oil
- 10 curry leaves
- 4 cms cinnamon stick (broken in two)
- 1 white onion (medium, peeled and sliced)
- 2 cms fresh ginger (piece, peeled and finely grated)
- 4 garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
- 1 chilli (green finger, slit)
- 650 grams potatoes (small jersey royal, quartered)
- 1 tsp. salt (each, and black pepper)
- 400 mL coconut milk
- 250 grams green beans (tailed and halved)
