- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 slice bacon (cut in half, for bottom of loaf)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (for meatloaf mixture)
- 2 cups unseasoned breadcrumbs
- 4 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 slice bacon (cut in half, for top of loaf)
- 2 Tbsp. salt (for boiling root vegetables)
- 2 lb. russet potatoes
- 1 lb. carrots
- 1 lb. rutabaga
- 1/2 cup cream (or more to taste, for vegetable mash)
- 2 Tbsp. butter (softened, or more to taste, for vegetable mash)
- leftover gravy (for serving, optional)
