- 2 Tbsp. olive oil (or grapeseed, for browning)
- 1/4 cup rose wine
- 28 oz. tomato sauce (best, and red pepper marinara sauce)
- 1 bay leaf

- 4 fresh basil leaves (chiffonade for garnish, optional)
