- 1 inch ginger (or adrak, cut to pieces)
- 1 cup onions (cubed, 1 large or 2 medium)
- 1 1/2 cups tomatoes (2 large chopped)
- 10 cashewnuts
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. oil (or butter)
- 1 inch canela (or dalchini, optional)
- 1 bay leaf (small, optional)
- 1 tsp. red chili powder (less spicy variety)
- 1/8 tsp. turmeric (or haldi)
- 1 tsp. Garam Masala
- 3/4 tsp. coriander powder
- 3/4 cup green peas (or matar, boiled or frozen)
- 1 1/4 cups water (use more if needed)
- 1 green chili (deseeded & slit, optional)
- 250 grams paneer (or indian cottage cheese)
- 1 tsp. kasuri methi (or dried fenugreek leaves)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (as needed, about ¼ to ½ tsp)
- 2 Tbsp. coriander leaves (or cilantro)
- 4 Tbsp. cream

Used less spices than mentioned in the recipe as I made it for kids so turned out less flavorful. But kids loved it! Easy to make.
