My Palestinian husband kept saying Maqlouba was too hard to make but this recipe was so easy! I couldn’t find all-spice berries so I used cloves and star anise. We rarely eat red meat so I used chicken breasts and cooked it in chicken stock. I added potatoes with the cauliflower and tomatoes on the bottom. My husband really enjoyed this dish and asked for it again. He requested more potatoes, less oil, and less chicken.
I will be making this again very soon!
