Preheat oven to 375°F.

Spray a 9-inch square baking dish liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Place the oats, milk, egg, melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, maple extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.

Finely chop the nuts. Add to the oat mixture and fold to distribute.

Pour the oatmeal into the prepared baking dish.

Bake the oatmeal on middle rack of oven until golden brown at the edges and firm in the center, 45-50 minutes.

Check to see that oatmeal is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.

Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional maple syrup, if desired.
