- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup green pepper (finely diced)
- 1/4 cup white onion (finely diced)
- 1/4 cup cilantro (finely diced)
- 1 jalapeno (diced, optional)
- 1/4 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp. cumin
- 1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. oregano

- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 cup white rice (basmati, don’t use brown, it will take too long to cook**)
- 2/3 cup frozen peas (or rinsed and drained pigeon peas)

Very good. I like how she used homemade Sazon and sofrito mixtures but made them quick and simple to follow. I added rice with the tomato sauce to toast it a little bit before water. Next time I will double rice and water bc personally I like more rice in the recipe.
