The sauce was tasty. My tofu got super chewy and didn’t absorb the sauce, so I don’t think I’ll bake it first next time. I put it over soba noodles and the sauce was just enough. Next time I will add shredded carrot, mushrooms and broccoli with additional sauce.

I only had regular pepper so added one teaspoon but with the jalapeño and garlic it was too spicy for my liking.
I sneezed and sneezed.
The tofu was crispy though.

This sauce is soooo good! I upped the amount of onions and added diced jalapenos. I put the tofu in the air fryer to crisp it up. I used shiritaki noodles as my noodle alternative. Yum!

Fantastic recipe! It makes it to the Top 3 tofu recipes I’ve ever made Definitely add less pepper and jalapeño if giving to kids

Used a small amount of jared jalapeno as my partner isn't good wit spicy food, everything was lovely but it was so salty, will make again but with a different type of soy or reducing the salt in the Tofu base recipie. Did look good and served with brown rice and veg helped take some of the saltiness out.

Excellent! Tons of flavor. I added steamed broccoli with the tofu at the end and served over brown rice

Finding a good marinated tofu recipe can be hard. This recipe was good, but unless you are used to spice I would hold back a little on the jalapeños. It is a recipe that tastes better with some sides such as stir fry vegetables or some rice. It does not take too long to cook and the ingredients are easy to find at most grocery stores. It is a healthier option and has lots of flavor. Next time I plan on using one jalapeño instead of two.

At first I thought it was too garlicky and too saucy! But then I made some veg to go with it… and it was like the title said, “magic”! Wow!! Can’t wait to make it again!!!!!

it was good but I would add a little something to the sauce...not sure what yet

It was really easy to make and delicious. I added strips of red pepper for some color and a bit of cruch.

Turned out great! Will be making it in the years to come.
Note: substituted jelepenos with ground peppers & used ground garlic instead of chopped. Added julienned green onion & wasabi radish baby greens for garnish. 😋

This was so so salty tasting. The garlic powder on garlic powder is probably what killed it... shame it took so long and came out inedible. It looked really good too

The sauce was delicious but the tofu was very dry, maybe next time i will shorten the cooking time.

Added broccoli, asparagus and red pepper and doubled the sauce. It turned out great!

This is definitely a repeat request. I’ll be making this again in the future. I roasted some broccoli and mixed it in — served over jasmine rice — delicious!

Very yummy. Served it with sesame udon noodles. Definitely could stand to add some veg, but I didn’t have anything on hand. Fairly cries out for some broccoli and carrots. I will heed that call next time around.

Tasty but a little bland. The jalapeno overtook the flavors in the sauce--and I even added sriracha. However, I used less garlic as I only had 5 cloves; more would have helped. Also, I added a bunch of mixed veggies and 2 scrambled eggs for more protein. Tofu took longer than 30 min total and didn't get really brown, but it was nice and crunchy on the outside. I'd make it again with more garlic and try it with broccoli.

As it is, not so much. Definitely needs more maple syrup. I ended up doubling it to make it edible.

This tastes absolutely amazing!! It is super spicy so if you don’t like that, cut back on the black pepper or even increase the maple syrup
