tastes pretty good sort of like a vanilla pudding to me. the texture is a little wierd, sort of like flan nothing cake like about it but then my egg whites wouldn't stiffen up good so maybe that affected the outcome. i added some cinnamon and nutmeg on top with the powdered sugar. wasn't bad. I'm going to make it again and try to get my egg whites to work better maybe even try the chocolate version

Well, I suppose everyone's entitled to their opinion, even those with no idea what sophistication tastes like. The texture and flavor reminded of fine a French pastry. (custard puffs)

Meh. That's about it. It was ok, it was bland, not very custardy. Won't be making this again. Not very impressed.

It turned out really well. Everyone loved them. It was really cool how it went in the oven really liquids but once it set it was this amazing cake.

I actually love this recipe and have made it several times for friends and family. I have even made a chocolate version! I am a huge fan of the texture, consistency and most of all the taste. It keeps well in the fridge when you need a snack. I am also a fan of the fact that it is not very sweet on its own so it is a great vessel for for powdered sugar.
